Thailand - Krabi

In 2016, on November, I did a great trip to Thailand.
First, I bought the tickets online on Qatar airlines. So, November, 5th was the day I left looking for my adventure.
First I flew from Guarulhos - SP to Doha, Qatar. When I get there, I asked in the airport help with the visa. As I will have 20h layover on my way back to Brazil, I decided to stay in Qatar, so I booked a hotel and arrange everything, Just missing the visa.
After that I head to my second parto of the trip - Bangkok.
First I need to say that the airport in Qatar is amazing! I thought I saw rich people in my life, but like there, I never even imagined!
So, I head to my gate and got into the second part of this adventure.
6h later, I was landing on Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). I purchased my tickets to Krabi at the same time I booked the tickets from GRU to BKK. I paid 25 dollars to fly from BKK to Krabi! Amazing!
So, after a couple of hours waiting in BKK, I found a international chip for my cellphone, and I am glad I did because I had phone and internet working 100% of the time in this trip.
After 1h flight, I got in Krabi. So, I looked for a bus to go from airport to the Hotel.
First hotel was nice, I have a private room with bath. So, just took a shower, change and head outside to eat.
Beside the hotel I found a street market and ate my first Pad Thai for this trip. I walked back to the hotel and rest like a baby.

Inserting myself in the digital world. Time to start to make it happens!

Today was the day to create pages, instagram accounts, pinterest, and, of course, a little store on FB.
The goal is to sell everything that I don't use. It will be good in two different ways: all money I will buy dollars to the trip and we can make the energy start to move forward.
not much to write today. Tomorrow, I will start some selling and think about a plan to really sell stuffs.
And, of course, keep dreaming.
PCT third step...

4.05.2016

Step one: Not carry on too much weight

To decide to do a trial, in special PCT, is not an easy task. You need to give up of a lot of things, you don't know what you will find there, and you don't know what you will leave here.
I believe that 3 years will be a good time to define everything, as, I have "a lot to give up" so, it will not be easy.
The first decision I took: Do it for my 40 years old. The plan consist to be near Yosemite on May, 23rd. I don't have details, but it will be important to be at Campo on March, 10th all of these in 2019.
So, to start small and not lose courage or motivation.
First step: where the money will come from?
So, as I wrote in the beginning of this post, I decide to pick up everything that I don't use, everything that I don't need and let them go.
The begin: I will solve conflicts that I have inside of me. I decided not to carry on any bad feeling. this trip need to change my life so, I will start on pre-trip.
Lately, I am quite stressed. I am dedicating so much to my job, and, now, they hired a new guy and I feel the pressure  and I feel threatened. I know that I am damn good but I am woman. And there is always a bigger obstacle to postpone. So, As I told on the previous post, the book "Wild" changed my life. I decide that life is to short and we not take things to our grave. We will take experiences and leave memories. And that is what I want.
So, my first exercise: I wrote a letter to one ex-boyfriend (I didn't send, of course) saying everything I needed to say. And including forgiving him for the bad things he did to me. Everyone has one map, and sometimes this map is incomplete. So, I prefer believe that his map was incomplete and he did what he needed to do.
And, today I woke up lighter. To forgive is always good.
So, this April will be dedicated to turn my backpack lighter.

A dream just born...

Do you know when you are upset, because your doctor say that you can`t walk for the next 15 days?
So, you pick up the book that your cousin/ sister gave to you on Christmas, and start to read, and after 12 hours, it changed your entire life?
Once, I saw the movie "Into the Wild" (Sean Penn), and I started to think that I will ave a break point in my life...
Then, a month ago, my supervisor just quit the job, to help his parents in their farm...
And now, this book: Wild, from lost to found on the Pacific Crest Trail..
I don't know what, how, why. I just know when, who and how long:
March, 10th 2019, and will be 6 months.

Buenos Aires, Argentina - When I was robbed by a taxi driver

The first time I got off Brazil was in 2006.
At that time, I didn't like to enjoy Carnival, so, specifically on February, 2006, I got my ticket to Buenos Aires.
It was a great experience. At that point, I stayed at Pangea Hostel (the owner moved to Bariloche and has a incredible hostel there - Hostel Achalay).
Unfortunately, my first hours in Buenos Aires were not that awesome. I arrived at 2am at Ezeiza Airport. It is located 20 miles from downtown, where Pangea Hostel was. So, as it was late, I got a cab. looks simple, right? But it is not! I got out the terminal and there were piles of taxi drivers screaming: taxi? taxi? So, I got one.

At that point, i was not that familiar with Spanish (my mother language is Portuguese, as I am Brazilian) so, I saw the driver calling a number, and just understood the direction that I gave to him: Entre Rios, 1222. I thought it was normal, as in Brazil, usually, the drivers call the monitoring station to give the directions where they suppose to go when they pick up someone on the streets.
Well, long story short, when we arrived at the direction, the street had no one walking around, just one person in front of the direction I gave.

Chilean friends sharing an hamburger
When the driver stopped, the man opened up the door, and started to take my backpack out. I was trying to get my wallet, so, the driver got it from my hand, and emptied it (took all of my money!), and the man, when finished to take my stuff outside the cab, took my hand and did the same with me. When I felt over the sidewalk, the guy got in the cab and both guys ran away with my money. I was lucky they threw my wallet on me with my ID and documents.
I will use this blog, now, to write about crazy stories that happens when a girl travel by herself.
I will not give up to travel. And I will share a lot of experiences on last 10 years.

Subway Line A - the oldest of Buenos Aires

As I got just part of my money (the part it was hidden on my backpack) and I was planning to stay 12 days there, I needed to find out how i could get money from my stay. I had enough to eat, but I needed to pay the hostel. That time, I had no credit card :O

Obelisk at July, 9th Avenue

I did a check in at the hostel, they were having a party, so, I started to realize what happened. As I was a bit confused, I went to my bed and tried to rest. I could't. At 8 AM, I breakfast at Hostel, and then started to walk on the streets. I thought, if I can find someone to help me.. but what to do now?
So, in Buenos Aires, they have a lot of "kiosks". So, I started to ask if they knew someone who could give me a place to sleep. Remember, my Spanish at that point was really bad. But they could understand what went wrong with me. So, after ask a lot of people, I spoke with a really nice woman that gave me the address of the Brazilian Embassy.

I got a bus, and asked some help there. They told me that Brazilian Consulate could help me, and, for lucky, it was just in front of Brazilian Embassy.
I got into the Brazilian Consulate, but, this same day, it had like 80 Brazilians trying to get their ID to back to Brazil. The night before, they were at the Rolling Stones Concert on River Plate stadium, but, as you guys probably read, it was a huge confusion that night A lot of people got in the stadium without ticket and a lot of people who bought the ticket got outside. And in the middle of this confusion, a lot of people got stollen.

I waited a couple of hours, but as I had my ID, I saw a man, wearing a suit. So, I asked him if he could help me, as I had my ID. For lucky, he was the Consul!
So, he said to me to get into his office. I explained what happened (and cried a lot, of course), and he said that the could give me the money to pay the Hostel. He said that it is very common in Buenos Aires that taxi drivers do this kind of thing, sometimes, the rob you, sometimes they try to tell you that your money is fake, or sometimes they change a 50 bill to 5.

In the end, I came back to Hostel and finally started my trip. It was really nice 12 days there.
Do you think that I got upset with Buenos Aires (or Argentina) because of that? No way! It is being 10 years that i always go there, and love it!
I recommend! It is just a matter to be careful, but the experience, is amazing!

P-65

O vento chegou a 45 nós...

E agora morando no Rio.

Aqui, muitas pessoas alugam quartos.
